I've read that this is legitimately a good movie; count me in. Like others have mentioned in the thread so far, this is the kind of strange, out-of-box filmmaking we should be championing in an era of endless corporate franchises. I say that as someone who loves Star Wars and Marvel, but I really miss strange little films like this.

I always thought of it more as a he had to more than dedication. Isn't he famously bad for impulse buying and being constantly near broke?

The dvd has an extra section where Cage is getting one-on-one instruction by accomplished chefs on cooking a couple dishes.

Was pretty cool to see Cage taking instruction and compiling the dishes.

About halfway through, and this is not the movie I expected at all.

Almost feels like the John Wick of the truffle world.
