I heard Unchained Melody this morning and it made me realize how that stupid movie Ghost ruined this song for me. So what movies have ruined a song for you? Here's two that come to mind.

-Unchained Melody- Ghost

-Sweet Home Alabama- Con Air/Sweet Home Alabama (or really any movie, this song is way overused)

If you voluntarily watched Ghost and Sweet Home Alabama, you have bigger problems.

TV show rather than a movie, but "Who are You" and any of the flavors of CSI that abounded 15-20 years ago.

Didn't really ruin the sing for me, but every time I hear "Stuck un the Middle" I think of someone cutting an ear off.

Here is a song that I absolutely banged for a couple of years by King Princess called "1950". And then it got put into an Oscar-nominated Netflix short called If Anything Happens I Love You which is a 12-minute animated short that somehow is sadder than the beginning of Up.

TV show - Battlestar Galactica
Song - All Along the Watchtower

Even though they didn't use the Hendrix version, every time I hear it on the radio I unwillingly think of that show.

I was in high school when that movie came out. A girl came into class one morning asking if anyone had heard of this new band called Queen.

Personal opinion aside, the widely-accepted winner has to be "Goodbye Horses" by Q Lazzarus, right? Right???

It is way overused in film & TV. On the other hand I like how it was used in Battlestar Galactica. Another song that is that is overused is "Gimme Shelter" by The Rolling Stones. It fits the mood when Scorsese uses it, but out of place in the Adventures of Babysitting.

Off topic, but I was a church Jr. High youth counselor in the early 80's when one of the kids asked, "Did you know Paul McCartney was with another band before Wings?"

Same for me when I hear the piano exit of Layla. I see Carbone hanging in the meat locker truck, frozen stiff.

I'm confused, but I'm guessing the emoticon implies some inside joke??

Actor in Last American Virgin, was one of the rapist in The Accused . . . got it.
But Somebody's Baby (Jackson Browne) was in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (Jennifer Jason Leigh in dugout).
