Heard they cancelled The Jazz Fest and the Stones.
Is there any actual jazz? If so, do they isolate it to a certain portion so that people with taste can leave?Aust Ag said:
Well, the Stones, Black Crowes and Foo Fighters were the headliners but you do you.

It could be because jazz sucks.

I just heard that covid was the public reason for the cancellation. But the real reason was due to the lack of workers to make everything happen. If they waited longer then they would've had to pay for the performers vs having the insurance pay.
Similar to Floatfest when they announced that cancellation. They said it was due to the area not being ready in time when the real reason due to low ticket sales and losing their ass to pay performers.
I saw Wilco there one year (and Crowes on the same day), and Jeff Tweedy kept making comments about not really being a jazz band and, "well...this song's a little jazzy, I guess...." Someone hadn't told him how big the festival had gotten.aTmAg said:Is there any actual jazz? If so, do they isolate it to a certain portion so that people with taste can leave?Aust Ag said:

This makes total sense. I've encountered about 5 or 6 situations in the last 24 hours that were precipitated by a lack of workers or quality workers.
