At a normal concert you would attend, what percent of people are:
1) drunk (bad hangover, maybe puking later),
2) stoned,
3) buzzed (a few drinks),
4) sober

The concerts I go to usually have an older crowd because it's probably a classic rock or blues artist.
I'd say 5% drunk, 5% stoned, 94% buzzed, 1% sober.

I know it will vary greatly depending on the artist and venue. Smart Financial in Houston will be a lot different from Whitewater Amphitheater on the Guadalupe with the same performer.

I want to believe that the same concerts I attend would have been a lot wilder 30 years ago, but it's much easier to enjoy the music these days. Can't stay Wild forever, I guess.

Last night at The Black Crowes at The Woodlands:

Over half sober/slightly buzzed
5% stoned
10% drunk

This was the reserved seats section. I'm sure the percent stoned on the lawn is waaaay higher.

I don't understand the concept. If 2 people on my row are about to pass out I should extrapolate that to the rest of the crowd? I'm just here to watch the show, not do math.

Sorry. It's just something that came to my mind during a song I didn't like. The concert crowd makes a HUGE difference at any show.
