Anyone else watch this? I was entertained enough, but there were several kind of glaring issues. Also JDW has the same face for all levels of emotional intensity.

it seemed like his care for the boy in that movie kind of sprouted from nowhere and was his driving reason for continuing on, but there was no real reason given as to why. Also, there is no way that dude would still be going after all the abuse he took and on the 2 hours of sleep

overall not a bad 2 hour time killing action/suspense movie, but definitely seemed like a netflix level film.

We watched and agreed with the reviews that it was ok to average. Enjoyed watching it but fairly forgettable afterwards. If you and the SO can't agree on anything, it's not a bad choice.

The dialogue with him and Alicia Verklander was really awkward. Like bad writing.

After that the whole thing almost became a bit of torture porn for JDW's character. Dude was just beat to crap the whole movie.

I agree that his desire to save the boy seemed a bit forced for the character up to that point. Like that becoming his driving force the last 10 minutes of the movie, including the jump down 2 stories onto the car was just out of nowhere.

i thought that was her but didnt check and just couldnt convince myself one way or another if it was her as she looked different to me. Agree, their interactions were weird and their conversations didnt make much sense.

It didn't look like her at all, but yes. I'm sure that's what they were going for with the makeup.

JDW also looked very different from Tenet, Blakklansman, and Ballerz.

Best I could compare it to is if you showed people a picture of Donald Glover now vs Community and has no frame of reference to know they're the same person. I feel like the movie was filmed 5 years ago and we just now got to see it.

They zoomed in on a picture of Obama on the embassy wall, so that would definitely make sense.

It didn't say anything about it being set in 2015 or before. If it was supposed to be set any time 2016 or after, that would be ridiculous to make a point of showing Obama.

I think you may be spot on though as it makes a lot of sense.

I thought it was weird to have a big star like Vikander in the movie, but then put her in the movie for very long lol. Like whats the point.

Agreed on all points. The movie was ok for watching for free on a lazy sunday night or on an airplane, but wouldn't pay to watch this movie.

I usually like JDW but damn his acting was pretty bad in this movie. Not believable at all. The whole movie was just missing something.

It's okay. Denzel named his son after JDC.
