Some say Metallica is better. Clearly more popular. Don't know a whole bunch about either except both are US acts.

An est. 68 MILLION Americans, including 19 MILLION Black Children, have been killed in the WOMB since 1973-act, pray and vote accordingly.

Metallica is better. It's not close, but Megadeth doesn't suck

Some would say Megadeth is 1/4 of what Metallica once was.

Metallica was absolutely amazing through...and justice for all which was when they completely fell off imo.

On that note, I dont know why everyone says they would have stayed so good had cliff not died. I think people just use that as a reason to blame how terrible they became, but noone can make music that long and not progress through different sounds.

From just the small sample size I've heard, I like Megadeth better. Really looking forward to manana.

Megadeth is totally worth the time.

Great live shows.

High energy and serious head banging.

Love them.

Went to see them all by myself they were so good.

Don't pass them up.

And yes, Metallica is better.

But Suicidal Tendencies are no Metallica either, but so much fun when they were live.

Many such bands that don't belong in Metallica's orbit, but totally worth the listen. Or show. Or album purchase.

Go see Megadeth, and rock your night away.

You'll be glad you did.

It's a weird troll to be a 55yr old man pretending to have just heard of Megadeath and Metallica.

I must have missed the point where Metallica became terrible. I mean, the recording of St. Anger made it virtually unlistenable but the band has never been terrible.

I get not liking the black album after their earlier efforts but to say it's not good music is absurd.

It isn't and you will never convince me it is. The good news is that that is subjective and we don't have to agree.

The kids were good..really good. Granted I haven't heard a whole lot of Metalica, certainly not anything near as good as this piece. Nightwish covered this one and did fantastic job. Only recently did I realize it was a cover of Megadeth. Can see why Tuomas chose this one to cover. Was great to see Dave M smiling. Lots O energy. Down in the pit with the youngsters...lol.

Justice was one of their greatest albums.
That tour was the first time I had ever heard their music

I went to go see The Cult open for them.
I was amazed at how good this band I never heard of was

It was also at the Summit.
So I like to joke Joel Ostein's church is the first place I ever got stoned

Listen to obituary. They are kind of a self aware spoof of death metal but so great. The End Complete is such a great album.

Also if you are starting to go on a thrash kick, listen to anthrax.

Or check out power trip, a Texas band full of good dudes. Unfortunately their lead man Riley passed away unexpectedly last year. He was such a great person.

I was at this concert and it was amazing. Lamb of God is unbelievable live. I'm not even a huge fan of theirs but they are undeniable. Blew me away honestly.

But, in my mind Megadeth will always be #1. Dave has more talent than all of Metallica combined. I've seen them both live and Megadeth is always better.

If the black album is your favorite Metallica album you probably won't care for Megadeth.

Lamb of God puts on an AMAZING show. Love them. Worth every penny.

Hard disagree with your second part though. I do believe Mustaine is the strongest guitarist of them all but ain't nobody beating Hetfields voice. And though I think I think Mustaine is more gifted technically, riff for riff over the lifetime of both bands, it's not even close to me with Metallica being the better.

Just an opinion though and not an attack. Feel like that needs to be said these days.
