Man I have grown to love "Winner Takes It All" over the years. Such a great tune. A top 10 all time song for me.
They are about to be wealthy beyond imagination.

Never really gave ABBA much of a thought back in the day.
But their hits are really finely crafted pop tunes. The melodies stand the test of time. I can't help but tap my feet when I hear an ABBA song today.

Love ABBA. One of my first 8 Tracks (Yea, that's right) was Voulez Vous.
Fernando always hits me in the feels. One of the bestselling singles in music history.
Every time I hear ABBA the first thing that pops in my head is hearing Casey Kasem say "climbing 4 spots on the charts this week is that Swedish supergroup ".
Sweden IS the center of the musical universe.

While I think that's probably an over estimate of their sales, they were like this crazy shooting star.

One more Abba nerd moment before bed. But they actually got their real break on Eurovision, which was a European wide music contest with one act from each European country competing. This was their 1974 performance that won it and really launched them. As you can hear, they are good live too. I would encourage you to look at some of the subsequent outfits the ladies wore, it didn't hurt their sales I'm sure.
Industrial light and Magic did a thing for them to de-age the band members. Took 2 years to get it all right.C@LAg said:
