Watching the youtube videos of these two having drum offs over the last year plus has been so awesome.

The joy she radiates when playing and his absolute love of encouraging her is unreal

Dave and Nandi finally meet.
She is really good

Taylor watching her play the drums with his son beside him, was so cool.

And yes, that song is badass

I'm not a huge Foo Fighters fan. They are hit or miss for me but Dave Grohl just loves doing what he does and that makes their shows great. I'll always go to a Foo Fighters show when they are nearby.

I've been lucky enough to meet Grohl a couple times and am friends with someone that knows him pretty well. He really is super nice. It's not a shtick for the cameras.

The absolute nicest person in rock & roll I've ever met is Michael Anthony of Van Halen. I even met his bass tech of 40 years once and he said the same thing. Dude is completely genuine.

And I've been following Nandi online for a couple years now. She is amazing and has already led an incredible life. She's jammed with Kravitz onstage and many other legends offstage as well.

Sonic Highways on HBO is a great documentary following them as they recorded different songs in cities throughout the country. I think when they were in NYC they walk out of the studio and into a father and son walking on the street. Dad tells him they're fans, and the son has been learning guitar, including some Foo Fighters stuff. Dave takes them straight into the studio to show them around. Dropped whatever it was he was going to do to be cool for a dad and his son, that stuck with me. Sonic Highways shows how big a fan Grohl is of so many different musicians, and I think that's key, he's a fan, and he appreciates his fans. He's going to be one of very few musicians in the rock 'n' roll HOF twice for different bands, well deserved.

Another moment from Sonic Highways that stuck with me was when he talked about playing his stuff for Kurt the first time, and Kurt was happy for him. I think he said he kissed him on the forehead. That was from the Seattle episode.

Grohl's documentary on Sound City was fantastic and a great story that needed to be told about such an important part of American music history before it was shut down.

Grohl is great, but I give the lead to Keanu strictly because I couldn't tell you what his political beliefs are. I prefer my celebrities that way.

Sonic Highways and Sound City may not be his best albums, but the way they were made and the documentaries behind them really shows how much Dave loves what they do and respect those that did it before them.

That being said, there are still some straight up great songs on both of those records.

I love in Sonic Highways when they are in NOLA at Preservation Hall and Dave sees some dude across the street that he met the day before. He gets all excited and then starts telling the other Foos guys all these details about the guy. You can tell he spent a while hanging out with a random fan. It's sweet and hilarious all at the same time.

As much as Dave Grohl kicks ass, little things like this always have me put Keanu as the all-time #1 celebrity.even though this story is short you understand so much about his humility and genuine love for people

This might go down as the most nice spirited debate in the history of this website.

Grohl and Hawkins not only inducting but really roasting Rush into the RRHOF and then putting on the kimonos to play them was amazing. Dave Grohl may be of the most sincere people in R&R.

I have seen that before.

Just like him getting up on a subway and offering a lady his seat. Or renting a van to take people who were on the same plane as him to LA because the plane had been grounded.

Keanu is just good

My favorite scene from Sonic Highways was in the New Orleans episode when they couldn't find Dave. He was across the street having a drink at a bar with a complete stranger. He told the guy they needed him in studio, but he'd be right back.
