Anyone watch the first episode, actually the first two were available on demand. I thought it was great. Has similar vibes to Mare if Easttown bc it's a blue collar town in Pennsylvania and his somewhat of a murder mystery. Tons of good actors/actresses.

watched them too. didn't see the other series you referenced, but it reminded my wife and me of Your Honor (?) with Bryan Cranston, based on the tone and pacing.

It's much better than Your Honor so far in my onion. I thought Your Honor had potential but it quickly got ridiculous with how unbelievable it was. Hopefully this show doesn't go that route.

If you haven't seen it, I definitely recommend Mare of Easttown. It was on HBO and had a similar vibe to this show. I'm hoping this show will be as good as Mare if Easttown. That's a very high bar to meet but it's off to a solid start.

Prez from The Wire has really fallen on hard times.

Decent start, but I suspect it's going to wear thin and bog down quickly. USA commissioned this show 4 years ago but couldn't find a lead to do it so it sat. Showtime ultimately picked it up and got Daniels. While i enjoyed the first 2, there were already a few warning signs that it might get old. Hope not, but we'll see

Anyone still watching? Daniels has been good and it's been good enough to keep me watching, although it's pretty flawed.

Solid decision. You know the supposed smart brother that ran off? He's turning truck stop tricks now. This week he acted like a cow while his john acted like a baby calf and sucked him off. That's the kind of awesome writing you are missing

The entire storylines about both the brother and sister are absolutely massive fail. This show is mostly benefitting from me running low on stuff to watch

We had high hopes for this. I'm still hanging, but the wife has bailed. It's seems very disjointed to me.

I'm still watching. The main story line is still somewhat intriguing and the acting is solid. But man, the brother and sister storylines are cringeworthy. Especially the brother.

It was definitely a slow burn. Too bad the storylines/cliffhangers will likely never be resolved.
