You're a lucky, lucky man if you've never known anyone who reacted to jokes like that, even if they weren't about them. I think it's just a defense mechanism for some people to act serious and/or disinterested when someone else starts talking, especially if it might require rubbing two circuits together to get it.

Thanks for sharing - I've been wanting that (Conan talking about Norm) to happen but didn't think it would.

I listened to the Conan thing yesterday, was really good.

I wonder if Conan will address how he cancelled Norm in 2018 because of Norm's comments on the View about Louis CK/Roseanne Barr/Chris Hardwick? I expected it from Fallon, but thought Conan had a little more respect for the concept of comedy. Never thought much of Conan after that whole deal and as such don't think he will acknowledge it.

I think you are referring to Fallon and while Fallon did have a statement about norm on his show a couple days ago, he did not mention that and instead said norm was "a friend of the show, family really"

Norm was scheduled for Sept 25 2018 on Conan and was just dropped. Never appeared again to my knowledge?

Disappointing to hear - and wish I hadn't heard it. Even Conan and Fallon don't have ultimate control of their own shows, I know both of them love Norm and probably hadn't that "business" aspect of the decision.

Hardwick - he said nothing about him specifically he was speaking generically and just about the reactions and the #metoo movement just cancelling people outright, no room for forgiveness in society any more and how badly that could go.

Gadsby - again talking more or less generically because he never saw the show but saying one woman shows are great but they are something else not stand up.

About CK and Roseanne he specifically said he would never defend their actions and if it sounded like he was minimizing victims pain he was sorry.

I mean did Norm do ANY shows in the last couple years though? He had cancer after all.

As someone else mentioned, I'd be very surprised if Conan didn't reach out to him to return for his final week given that he brought back all his favorite guests.
