Conan was easily the best for me, even while Leno and Letterman were on. But I'm also a sucker for the super weird and random comedy bits they'd do.
Same tastes for me. Conan late 90s to early aughts was strong night in night out. I can see how he isn't the commercial comedy of Fallon.
HOWEVER, the absolute idiocy of giving Leno his own comedy show prior to the local news before Conan destroyed any audience looking for a late night comedy show. Instead of big tv dramas handing local news viewers, who were then turned over to the tonight show, it was a massive programming disruption for which Conan was blamed. Dumb.
