Pretty entertaining 4 part documentary about a multi-level marketing company called Lularoe that sold cheap skirts and leggings. Had never heard of this company but apparently it got pretty big about five years ago. Amazing how people (primarily women) get sucked into these things.

Naturally, it screwed a lot of people over and was shady as hell. It's run by a Mormon couple and their insanely large family. Company is still around but smaller with dozens of lawsuits against it. This dork customer service rep they had steals the show and is almost worth watching just for him. 45 min episodes so it's pretty quick.

Shocking stat I saw during this was that Amway did $8.8B in revenue in 2018. I had no idea that was still around. Must be mostly international revenue.

I watched it this week! It's amazing how the owners double down of almost everything, they are the worst!

And those leggings were ugly as hell. I can't believe people spent $35-50 on them just bc of the name. People are stupid

It was really odd to see the Hispanic employee visibly angry and in rage over this business model somehow being racist against non-white women, yet she was the biggest proponent of the business in the entire documentary. Was ecstatic about the opportunities it had given her and the money she had made.

And the outright lies by the owners! I swear those deposition videos always look the same no matter who it is or what the accusations are. No one ever recalls anything in the depositions and yet we then have them in a documentary after the depositions admitting to and openly discussing all of the stuff they were accused of doing.

Incredible!
