Wife and I just welcomed the newest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2044 on Tuesday last week and made it home. Considering we'll be up for about an hour every 2-3 hours over the next couple weeks, what should we catch up on?

We're about to finish S2 Ted Lasso as well as a 3rd rewatch of the entire NewGirl series. I just need to suggest something because my wife's fallback is Friends when we have nothing and I desperately need to suggest something. The only stipulation is that she won't watch anything SciFi.

My reason for suggesting a show like Kim's convenience is because there isn't anything that is crucial from one episode to the next. So if you fall asleep or have to take care of the kid during an episode, you aren't going to be lost when you start back up. Basically a series of bottle episodes.

Some of these other suggestions are great and have great stories and characters that grow and that is the problem with recommending them for this use case.
