I can think of more pleasant ambient background noise than the voice of Sheldon.

Yes, because major networks regularly air "terrible shows" for 12 seasons.

I'm a fan of the show. I took several physics classes in college, ended up in engineering, and used to recognize/know how to do some of the math they discuss (those days are long gone)…. But I do hate most of the characters.

Amy Farrah Fowler was done perfectly. Sheldon and Bernadette are a close second. What made the show good is they included them laughing at their own jokes in the clip. You can also see Sheldon become more human like Spock due to Amy, which is fun.

Having Will Wheaton on the show was greatness.

Hated Leonard, Penny, Howard, Raj… although not at first. All changes about 4-5 seasons into it. Ending for Raj is just pathetic IMO.

The second season Christmas episode (Bathroom Gift Hypothesis) and the Scavenger Hunt around season 7 or 8 are by far my favorite episodes.

Start with the Christmas episode if you want to get an idea as to whether or not you'd like the show.

I doubt grey's anatomy and the show it's holding up (station 19) will last much longer. Both have gotten preachy as hell. My wife watches both and it never fails as I'm walking by I see a minority actor playing the victim card, particularly with Station 19.

Howard was way better after gettinv with Bernadette. Rajs character is sexist misogynistic and just creepy awful. If you listen to his "jokes" with no laugh track he is literally the worst.
