About a year ago, I watched an old horror movie on television produced by Hammer Films, out of England. I'd never heard of them before, but I was fascinated by the gothic visuals and relatively slow pace (compared to today's action/CGI-saturated films).

That started me down a rabbit hole, and now I've found a whole bunch of Hammer films in full for free on YouTube. The studio was famous for casting Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and a bevy of beautiful women, including the breathtaking Ingrid Pitt.

Anyone else a fan of the Hammer movies?

Not a big fan of movies in general, but I do enjoy a lot of hammer movies. There are a LOT of major acting chops happening in those.

The Christopher Lee/Peter Cushing Dracula/Frankenstein movies are amazing as well. There are a few to check out of varying quality but I really loved em all.

I just finished watching The Vampire Lovers and Captain Kronos -- Vampire Hunter, both great. I'll check those two out.

The Devil Rides Out is great. Christopher Lee is the hero, playing against his usual type of character.

Yes Horror of Dracula with Peter Cushing as Van Helsing and Christopher Lee as Dracula is one of the best Dracula movies PERIOD and is one of the first movies where they "fight each other". It's still awesome.

I went to the Wikipedia page and realized I saw a lot of the prehistoric genre films on TV as a teenager. 1,000,000 BC, with 18yo Raquel Welch may have been my sexual awakening.

Just finished watching "Twins of Evil," the final installment of The Karnstein Trilogy from Hammer Films. Maybe the best of the three in terms of pacing. Love that so many of these films are available are YouTube in their entirety.

In addition, since we are so close to Halloween, a lot of Hammer Films are streaming on services such as Tubi, Peacock and others.
