I had no idea this was out there (the new series).

Watched the first episode. I really wanted to like it and get into another Blade Runner story, but unfortunately, IMO, it's just not very good. While the atmospheric animation looks great (the buildings, vehicles, lighting, etc), the character animation is so stiff and weird and almost feels like something from 20 years ago. The facial expressions and the way their mouths move are so bad that I just couldn't connect with any of it at all. It doesn't help that the writing isn't any good either, and the whole thing feels kind of video game cutscene-ish. I also don't know who this is for. Because the writing level and character animation plays like something aimed at ten-year-olds, but the content itself is for a much older audience, with language and violence, and it just doesn't make any sense at all in that regard.

So, yeah, I think I'm out.
