I watched Contact the other day. There is the crazy John Hurt billionaire that like funds or sets up the second project attempt or whatever that always kinda felt weird and out of place like a Bond villain, but now when you watch that movie its just like "Oh, this character is just Jeff Bezos"

Perfect synopsis of government spending and the industries that would buckle tomorrow if they had to compete in something closer to a free market with less patronage, etc.

Great correlation there, even looks like his bald weirdness.

I love that scene from the moment she walks into her apartment or whatever and finds the laptop with the satellite linkup until he says "wanna to take a ride?"

One of the commentators said the passengers will be able to talk about this the rest of their lives. Well, Shatner is 90 so he likely does not have a lot of time left. But I will say this. I hope I am on this side of the earth and moving like him at 90.

That legit made me laugh out loud.
But it is petty appropriate for the schlong measuring contest going on between Branson Musk. And Bezos over space.
