Enjoy it for what it is, Drake on the big screen.

And even with all the bad reviews, the movie is projected to pull in $51 million in the U.S. over its 4 days, and be the 3rd best opening for a video game adaption movie all time.

I saw it's cleared almost $140mm for the weekend and has 70-80% audience recommendations and a B+ from cinemascore.

There are complaints to be had but this is an instance where the critics got it wrong.

so that was actually pretty damn fun. i agree with a lot of the comments already made. the comparisons to national treasure are spot on.

no, holland isn't a perfect nate, but he was fun and i think he can grow into the role. wahlberg is just plain miscast as sully, but it actually didn't ruin the experience for me. chloe was great.

i think it's probably in the upper tier of video game movie adaptations, moreso because it's a pretty low bar. but i think this movie did what it needed to do and hopefully we get to see some more of them. the rest of my family, none of whom are familiar with the game, all really liked it

I saw it tonight and really enjoyed it. I've played the games as well, so I'm familiar with the story and characters.

I don't get the criticism. It was a fun movie. Some humor, lots of great action. And some plot twists. It's not even close to Raiders of the Lost Ark, but few movies are. Just turn off your brain for a couple of hours.

I thought the casting was good. Holland might be a little young, but I don't think he needs to match up perfectly with the video games. Wahlberg was good too.

Nobody mentioned the two women. They were great in their roles.

I think the one casting they absolutely nailed was Sophia Ali as Chloe. She has the look of a younger Chloe. She sounds pretty damn near Claudia Black. They wrote her character correctly with how she is in the games.

Yeah Sophia Ali was perfect

it was a little thing, but i loved the way they introduced nate's shoulder holster.

I'd turn evil for Tati Gabrielle. She was written a bit boring as an stereotypical villain just in it for the money (and WTF did they have her wearing at the end?,) but she was straight fire.

I laughed a little too loud because I loved that moment. I had noticed that he hadn't done a lot of gun play leading up to it so it was a nice touch

Haven't seen this, but this may be an even bigger success for Holland's career than NWH, proving he can be a draw outside of Spider-Man.

Absolutely. Her character lacked depth, but that was due to the script. She did well with what she had. All the baddies lacked depth. I stand by my earlier conclusion that Banderas was wasted. They could have done so much more with his character.

Just got out of the movie and I really liked it. Been a huge fan of the games since the first one came out. I thought Holland and Wahlberg were a little young but as the movie acted as a prequel it was easy to look past and then I grew to like the dynamic.

Would love to see 1-2 more movies with the two of them.

For those still going to this movie, there is an after credit scene that starts about 2 minutes into the credits.

Part of it was shown in the trailer but it's setting up the sequels.

I'm only mentioning it because about 60% of our theatre excited once credits started.

Very enjoyable movie that was better then I expected.

Pretty much is setting up the first game given the Roman name drop and the interest in the ring

I saw this and loved it. Although I had seen tons of negative reviews from critics I have to agree with others above and say they just got it wrong. This was a fun movie and I definitely feel like it would be fun for others who haven't even enjoyed the games before.

Saw this last week before Batman. It's obviously utterly ridiculous, but damn if it wasn't fun.

I thought it was a lot of fun. Not as good as the games obviously, but that's arguably the best video game series ever. But definitely at the top of video game to film adaptions.

Saw this last night and loved it. Lots of fun.

I'm not familiar with the video games and obviously there were critiques of Tom Holland's age, but I think he was a great fit for this role and would definitely like to see more of these.

Very much a 'National Treasure' and 'Oceans 11' vibe with a dash of Indiana Jones and The Goonies.

I texted my friend it felt like Indy meets National Treasure meets Pirates of the Carribbean.

Haven't seen the movie, but in my head Drake was always Army of Darkness era Bruce Campbell, while Sully was Burn Notice era Bruce Campbell.

I was finally able to take the kids this morning. Everyone loved it. I don't understand all the negative reviews. Yes, it is ridiculous, and isn't going to be winning any Oscars, but it was fun. It reminded me of a late 90s/early 2000s summer blockbuster, where all the movie is trying to do is have a good time. Mission accomplished for me.

I think 90% of the populace liked it. Everybody I recommended it to loved it.

The other 10% are critics who like to smell their own farts and die hard gamers that are angry it didn't stick to the source material enough.

I disagree. It's not MUST see on the big screen but it's far from a waste of money for an action movie.

Our family enjoyed going to an adventure movie in theaters.

I'm going to see it regardless. I'm playing through the games now.

but like.. I think you missed out on everything if you didn't see dune or the newest blade runner in theaters. eternals way better on big screen. etc.
