Going on a trip to New Mexico and looking for any recommendations for good podcasts. Wife and I have listened to and enjoyed Serial, Dr Death, S Town, Dirty John, valley heat etc. I realize that's a lot of true crime stuff but open to others. We like the long form story telling types. Anyone have some good recommendations they enjoyed?

If you want something funny/easy to listen to, you can check out "How Did This Get Made?" It reviews really bad movies and dissects the plot and such.

If you like The Office, An Oral History of The Office hosted by Brian Baumgartner is great. Office Ladies has a lot of information, but can be really hit or miss depending on how much you can stand Jenna and Angela's voices.

In The Dark (both seasons). Season two is great.
Man in the Window, Wind of Change, Relative Unknown, Left Right Game (fiction).

Apropos of the How Did This Get Made? recommendation, Paul Scheer has another podcast with film critic Amy Nicholson where they review and critique various major films. A little comedic than HDTGM, but generally interesting.

If you like LONG form history, I'll provide the obligatory plug for Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. He'll take a subject (WW2 in the Pacific, WW1, Cyrus and his Persian dynasty, etc.) and talk through it for several hours. I think his WW2 in the Pacific podcast was something like 20 hours in five parts.

We are office fans so we loved that recc and downloaded several. Also had previously listened to HDTGM and forgotten about but remembered loving it. Also downloaded in the dark season 2 as we really enjoyed the first one. Great suggestions thank you

I'll second Hardcore History. It's an excellent long form podcast. He's covered many topics/times, so if any of the current offerings on your app don't appeal to you, go to the show's website and you can get older ones.

There is a spin-off show too with shorter episodes and interviews, definitely check that one out. He had Elon Musk on just this past week.
