Had many of those, but got most of them used from CD Exchange on Northgate when it was next to Freebirds and Texas Aggie Bookstore.

I saw Vanilla Ice open for MC Hammer in 1991 at The Summit in Houston. It's been all downhill for music ever since.

The 44 Days that killed 80s rock. I was resentful at the time. It took me years to realize 80s rock had to die. Those last few years got pretty bad in retrospect. The Poison/Warrant clones got out of hand. I would like to have seen what Extreme, Skid Row, and Mr. Big could have done with a few more years of attention from the record companies.

R.E.M.'s Out of Time was released in March of that year. That damn video was played to death on MTV.

I definitely bought them all, but definitely not in 44 days. RHCP may not have been bought for another year or so.
My senior year of high school was 91-92, so these were the good ole days of music for me.

Would borrow my sister's boombox to listen to Metallica Black while practicing for my short-lived basketball career.

I also still vividly remember exactly where I was when a friend's older sister played us GnR's 'Get In the Ring'. I had never heard curse words sound so... *****in'.

If you were Little Rascals poor, then yeah, it could've been funny.

If you were Sally Struthers infomercial poor, then no, probably not too funny.

Eventually had all these, but was so poor I had to choose between the Use Your Illusions instead of buying both at once.

Ozzy snuck in No More Tears during that timeframe.

Also near this time were the debuts of Boyz II Men and Seal.

1980s rock is the absolute worst with a few bright spots here and there.

Gated reverb on every snare drum recorded. Makes me cringe when I hear it now.

If you add another 40 days Achtung Baby makes the list too.

Like someone above said, that was my senior year of high school. I can definitely say we knew that music was something special and really appreciated it. I have such great memories of driving around with friends and listening to every single one of those albums as a 17 year old.

you better hope the statute of limitations for copyright infringement is less than 30 year or else Lars might just track you down

Absolutely. And you can make a pretty decent case for movies as well.

Definitely a great time. I'd also have to include a decent block of the 70's in there too.
