Not to rain on the parade, but I wouldn't put a lot of stock in an article written in November 2021 speculating that a movie could begin shooting the following month or early 2022. In short, if this movie was about to start filming, we'd have A LOT more concrete info by now. Instead, we've had no director announcement, no writer announcement, and no cast announcement - no official announcements of any kind, in fact - so there's no way this thing is even close to filming yet. In other words, we won't be seeing this in 2022. Frankly, there's no real evidence here that any official movement is happening at all. I'd love to see a third movie in this series, and think one will definitely happen at some point, but we're looking at summer 2023 at the absolute earliest, and even that's being generous. I'd say more than likely 2024 considering they'll probably have to wait until after Brolin films the Dune sequel later this year, unless an announcement is coming in the next couple of months, and they're somehow filming shortly after that announcement.
