He roasted me and a few buddies at his show in Houston years ago at the Improv in Houston. After the show he came up to our table and shook all our hands and said thanks for being good sports. He was hilarious. RIP.

Maybe. I also never rule out drugs with deaths like these. Especially given how prevalent fentanyl is in everything from street pain pills to Xanax to Adderall to cocaine. A 30 year old healthy family friend who wasn't sick died in his sleep this morning and I hate to say it, but wouldn't be surprised if he dies the same way Sam Ehlinger's bro did…taking tainted knock off street prescription drugs or something harder.

Kids and adults are dropping left and right from all types of drugs cut with fentanyl these days and no one even suspects until autopsy/toxicology report.

Again, just a possibility.
