I don't think they will change what it was at its core. Even on Silicon Valley they made fun of that kind of ideology. There were a few episodes that addressed the fact that the worst thing a person or company could be referred to in northern California was Christian. They also made fun of how everyone kept saying the purpose of their company was to make the world a better place. Mike Judge has earned my faith across multiple tv shows and movies, I doubt he ruins the legacy of King of the Hill. I could easily see plot lines where young and impressionable Bobby comes home spouting some nonsense he learned in school, only to be taught something from the real world from Hank's perspective, in a light-hearted and comedic fashion.

I think if they will keep true to the characters and make it contemporary, a lot of people are going to be triggered because they misremember these characters as being more conservative than they actually were.

This will be worth the watch for, if nothing else, Dale Gribble's storylines/ideas/quips about the pandemic which I hope they actually make the focal point of at least one episode if they're bring this back from the dead.

Meh, LuAnn had her moments but I don't think she's integral to making a good show.

I LOVE Tom Petty, but his character was less necessary than LuAnn.
