Literally just came here to post this.

I was in disbelief....as in complete "nope. somebody made a mistake." mode.

Then I looked at the rest of the pics the paparazzi got. It's her.

I guess Danny Elfman has had her locked in a cage and has been force feeding her Baskin Robbins for 10 years.

I don't like these. If the actor isn't trying to be in the public spotlight anymore, why are we ogling them and judging their appearance? Might as well make fun of any random person at the gas station.

I agree Not going to excuse the frumpiness but post menopause is kind of a crapshoot. Hell even that "asian aging" meme hits on it.

….So she looks like an average 58 year old American woman.

This was the one that finally sold me.




And for those of you white knighting, nobody is "making fun" of her per se. It's just such an incredible transformation from the woman we knew and loved...even the last time she was out in public she still looked like she did in 1994. Maybe it's a hormonal deal (someone mentioned menopause), that's true.

It's just shocking based on some of the assumptions we make about people like this...a) you just assume a Hollywood type like this would have the means and desire to do what's necessary to not look like this (medical, fitness, etc.) b) given her 85 (?) year old Aunt's figure you just kind of naively assume Bridget would have aged the same way.

Again, mostly it's just the shock of it. Imagine being in a coma from 1977 to about 2015 and then waking and someone showing you a picture of Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner. It's that sort of "never would have imagined" transformation.

It's really weird to speculate about this kind of stuff. HTH

Did you miss the comment by the guy that said her husband must have had her locked in a cage feeding her ice cream? That jackass sure seemed to be making fun of her, not expressing shock at her transformation from the last time he saw her.

1. She hasn't made a public appearance in 12 years.
2. Has not acted in 20 years.
3. Husband is composer Danny Elfman
4. She retired to focus on raising her family.
5. I simply don't recognize her in the face.

I think it's wonderful she left on her terms, raised the family she wanted, and is living her life. We could all be so lucky. I don't care about her appearance, but I just don't recognize her.

This exactly. She has the financial means for any number of personal trainers, gourmet chefs, wardrobe and makeup consultants, and access to any number of above or below board weight loss medications. She could maintain a healthy physique with far less effort than the average 50-something year old female would require. It takes a tremendous amount of "don't give a s____" to fall this far. Danny Elfman got bamboozled.

I knew who Danny Elfman was but not what he looked like. Googling him now, I would say a combination of Bill Gates and Elton John. Twenty years ago i would have said he married up.

not to derail, but it's been awhile since i've seen Doc Hollywood.......just realized she was in it........

Also, it's incredible how manic this board is regarding which celebs are fair game and which aren't. What I said about the ice cream was clearly a joke. Stop being so GD sensitive. Hers is an incredible transformation.

Even more than her physical appearance it's her wardrobe that blows me away. This woman is a millionaire many times over and she is wearing clothes straight off the WalMart or Ross rack. At least she has the decency to not wear yoga pants like some of the older ladies I see shopping.
