Am I the only one watching this?

Basically American Downton Abby on HBO about the social scene in NYC during the guilded age.

I've enjoyed it but man Carrie coon seems so wooden. She seems like she is pretending to be someone that is acting like they are preforming in a period piece.

I'm watching it. I like it; it's a fascinating time period and I didn't know much about the NYC elite and the "400." So it's been educational.

They are so bound by protocol and propriety. It's interesting.

What caught my attention was the opening scene where the pieces of art were being moved across Central Park and the year was 1882. The contrast with the show "1883" was eye-opening.

Season 1 just ended tonight. I enjoy it but not nearly as well as Downton Abbey. Carrie Coon as Mrs. Russell is a miscast though IMO.

I haven't finished it yet, but it's so weird seeing Cynthia Nixon as the "nice" aunt. Just odd.

That stood out to me. I figured with how proper everyone was, it would have been scandalous for a woman to be out that late.

It's not the greatest show in the world, but it's good enough to keep me entertained. Has a second season been announced or are they still waiting to see all the numbers?

My wife and I are watching. We like it. The most interesting thing to me so far was the reference to the Peshtigo fire in Wisconsin. The same day as the great Chicago fire. Depending on your reference anywhere from 5-8 times as many deaths as Chicago. More deaths than Katrina. approaching 9-11. I had never heard of it.
In fact there were 4 significant fires that day. Two more in Michigan. One was double Chicago fire deaths.
Now they think they might have been related. You think?

She's like that in everything she does. I have no idea how she keeps getting cast in things. She's terrible. She nearly ruined "The Leftovers."

The wife and I are watching it and like it. It's one of the few shows we can enjoy together.

I find Carrie Coon incredibly sexy.
