I finally started watching Ted Lasso, and Jason Sudeikis clearly carries the whole show as this character who is virtually impossible to not root for. If I could think of any character from a show or movie I would most enjoy having as a friend in real life, Ted would be close to the top of the list. It seems that a lot of shows, even iconic comedies (Office, Seinfeld, Friends…) have witty dialogue and funny situations, but not always individual characters you might consider "likable" in the sense that you would love to go grab a beer and hang out with them if they were a real person.
