An extra $75/day for a and an open bar?

Unless they have some kind of limit on the number of drinks you can get, College Duncan would have been dead by noon on the second day

They moved this event from Martindale/San Marcos area because the attendees were leaving the area totally trashed and demolished. Gonzales agreed to this if they could find a way to limit some of the trash. This is going to be held on private land along the Guadalupe River. Last one was in 2019. COVID cancelled 2020 and heavy rains early in 2021 made the grounds impossible to drive on last year.

Was the 2019 festival in Gonzales? Just seems like a disaster waiting to happen. Talking to some buddies who do the Texas Water Safari every year say that stretch of the river is.... not great..

I am pretty impressed by some of the names they've convinced to travel to freakin Gonzales, TX...

No. 2019 didn't go forward because they moved event late and Gonzales would not grant permit. Organizers of the event have been working with the land owner and the county to clean that part of the river up. It's not really that long of a float. Maybe two hours. There is a pecan tree grove on the property campgrounds that should provide natural shade.
