Anyone else see this? Wife put it on and all I saw was something about a girl dating in the modern world or something like that and thought it was going to be a romcom or emotion porn ala This is Us.

Boy was I wrong. Way wrong.

Not the worst movie for straight to streaming. If you want a thriller type movie on a random stay in night, there are worse choices to make.

I knew it was horror from a glowing review I read. But I love that for a solid 30 minutes it is a romcom with Sebastian Stan being charismatic as **** and this woman falling head over heels for him. And then he drugs her and THEN the title card comes up. Like even after that, he was ****ing charismatic.

Yea my wife fell asleep a few minutes before that and about the time sebastian stan said he was going to take her meat I stopped it and thought to myself "nope, not letting my wife get out of this crazy one" so I waited until the next day to watch it with her.

And yes, it was definitely a full on romcom to start. Chad was a serious delta bravo. Took a HARD right though.

I really enjoyed this movie. This was really original and well done. Def worth a watch.

I thought this movie was fantastic!

It reminded me a lot of Hard Candy (worth a look if you haven't seen it) in some ways. Humorous but also dark.

On a side note, what's the deal with some films showing the credits and title 30 minutes into the movie? It worked out pretty well this time as it cuts the movie up very well but I assume there is an intent with this?

Bump for greatness. Even if you know the twist (that it's not a romcom) it's well worth it.
