Meh...

Unless they get everyone involved in making the original back, it will probably be as forgettable as the second one.

Taylor Sheridan has had some fantastic movie screenplays between Sicario, Wind River, and Hell or High Water. I would rather get a good original script, and then work on making something else great with a new team looking to make a great movie. This just has the feeling of a studio driven cash grab.

Now, if the story was Taylor Sheridan mentioning in an interview how he had been working on a follow-up as a passion project because he had a great story in his head he couldn't help but write out as a screenplay, then I would be a little more hopeful.

I will only watch it if I get 45 uninterrupted minutes of horses-skidding-to-a-halt scenes.

kind of a funny story about how i found out Sicario 3 was likely happening. . my brother and i were big fans of both of these movies. just about anything based on the cartels really.

a couple of years ago my brother tagged me in the comments of an instagram post that was talking about the potential of the third film. something along the lines of

" @trespuertas It's happening!"

anyway. about a year and and half later there was a new like on his comment to me. It was Benicio Del Toros official account. i kind of feel like that was his wink and nod to us super fans

Was told today by someone involved that "Sicario 3 is finally getting close to a GL."

"GL" meaning a greenlight.

What great timing. Was just thinking about bumping this thread lamenting about how we don't have it yet. Binged the first two earlier today as I am housebound currently. Still think they are crazy underrated.
