Question on Film Making / Editing

I wanted to ask this in the Obi Wan thread, but thought it would get buried

There are numerous plot holes and ridiculous sequences in the Obi Wan series. The Leia chase scene. Leia not sensing obi Wan is a good guy but dissecting her cousin with precise clarity. The toll booth in episode three. The non encounter in the tunnel between Reva and Tala. Darth Vader not able to walk a few yards around the fire to capture Obi Wan.

I am more than willing to turn my brain off for fantasy / sci fi movies and not overthink them, but this is embarrassingly bad.

How do these issues make it past script reviews, production, editing, and test audiences without getting addressed? How can anyone watch this final product and not tap the brakes and edit? Is there not a quality control process like every other industry to review the product before release for consumption?

I really don't understand. Surely they did not watch this and think "this is quality film making".

Oh, sweet. Dumping on that show in it's own thread wasn't enough. Now we have to start new topics to make sure that everyone knows how much we hate that show.

I can pick other movies. That's not my question. I used Obi Wan as an example because it's the freshest.

What is the QC process like in Hollywood? When shows have such horrendous plot devices, how do they make it out to the masses without someone stopping the process. I can understand low budget movies. But something with the backing of Disney should not have these obvious flaws.
