Not sure I'm OK with seeing a swastika and "The 12th Man" on the same movie poster?
Now showing on AMC+.

Really good, very graphic.

Love the trend I've been seeing recently of other countries showing their contributions to WW2 that most people in the US have never heard of.

movie looks good based on title card descriptions...agreed that it's a confusing poster

Quote:

Title Card: WWII. April 9, 1940, Norway is occupied by Nazi Germany and Hitler establishes "Festung Norwegen". The German war machine moves to the far north and the allied convoys suffer enormous losses.
Title Card: Scotland 1943. Norwegian soldiers are trained by the British forces to carry out the vital sabotage missions in Norway. Operation Martin Red was launched on March 24. Twelve Norwegian resistance fighters set sail for Norway. Their mission: to sabotage German airfields and installations.
Title Card: Only one man came back alive. The most incredible events in this story are the ones that actually took place.

I saw the movie based on the name alone. I would never believe it happened if it wasn't true. Like the first thing the guy does to survive is hard to believe. And that is the first of many.

Great film. Saw it a few years ago, and yes I was drawn to the title before I knew anything else about it. If you like the WWII commando type movies check out Anthropoid or The Resistance Banker, or The Forgotten Battle. As a huge history nerd I know we (the US likes to take a lot of credit for WWII) but lots of unsung hero's out there that some of there stuff is beginning to get some light shed on it
