Convicted under RICO and Mann Act several months ago. Sentencing was today. Prosecutors asked for 25, defense asked for 10. He got 30.

Young Thug and Gunna were both arrested in the ATL in May, with Young Thug indicted on 9 felony counts. He's been denied bail twice because of convincing testimony that he'll try to intimidate witnesses through the threat of violence. He'll be in jail until at least next January, and a few reports I read recently while ghostwriting something for a law firm about it suggest that you won't be hearing any new Young Thug music for the next 15-40 years.

That Atlanta music/gang activity is an interesting rabbit hole to go down on Google if you're bored. Don't even need to be a fan of rap music. Just start with 'Young Thug YSL RICO'.

"12 Play" was an absolute staple of my freshman and sophomore year of high school.

But looking back on it, the guy literally told us all in his first single "My mind is telling me NO, but my body is telling me YEEEESS!!".

I used to build stages before I went to school and I worked the r Kelly/Jay z tour. After the show I remember Jay z literally skipping through the tunnels at Toyota center because from all accounts he was trying to aggravate r Kelly. It was hilarious seeing that dude skipping.

R Kelly rode around the arena floor on a Segway and got in my way more than once which was completely aggravating after a long ass day while I was carrying heavy stuff. I would have given him 30 years for that alone I was so pissed at the time.

His sentencing on other charges related to the child SA material was Thursday. He got an additional 20 years but can serve 19 of it concurrent to the 30 years he is already serving.
