At the La Centerra Drafthouse -John Carpenter's awesome Escape From New York and far less than awesome Escape From LA.

Looks like I might end up seeing more old movies this summer than new releases, having already seen Star Trek:The Motion Picture, The Thing, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Superman:The Movie, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and Poltergeist are still on the schedule.

That was fun last night. Escape From LA is still not a good movie, but it was still fun to watch again on the big screen. Escape From New York remains awesome. Last night's viewing represented a far better viewing experience than the first time I saw NY, which was at a now long-gone drive-in that was on Main Street near Hiram-Clark, I think. Although I may have managed to see that one a second time at a theater in Lake Jackson; my memory is a bit foggy on that.
