Isn't this thread a remake of a thread from two weeks ago?

Here's a list so folks can find something that really surprises them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_film_remakes

One that stood out to me: Bedazzled (with Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley) was apparently a remake of a movie from the 60s

Airplane!

Wait what????
Almost scene for scene from Zero Hour! With the exception of the jokes. Even the creepy cockpit scene is pretty spot on.

ETA it's actually pretty funny to watch after seeing Airplane!

When the Airplane writers/producers were in talks with the studio during pre-production, the original script had the plane as a propeller driven plane similar to Zero Hour. The studio wanted a modern jetliner used in the film, so as a compromise they used the modern jet but had the propeller sound for the external shots

No ideas original, nothings new under the sun, it's never what you do but how it's done.
CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

Bedazzled is just Faust, which has been done a million times, perhaps the best adaptation is "The Devil and Homer Simpson"

1967 Raquel Welch. She was good in the movie.

The Avengers was a remake of the 60s tv show. Of course I mean the real avengers and not the comic book drivel.

Bruce Willis' Last Man Standing is one of my favorite films, but it's a remake of SERGIO LEONE'S A Fistful of Dollars, another one of my favorites, but it's an homage to Yojimbo a japanese film with the same premise.
