Indiana Jones series seems like the definition of adventure movies
EDIT - sorry should have read initial post closer

One movie I would say is "adventure" would be The Rundown with Dwayne Johnson. I'll watch anything of his. RT score of 69%.

Also The Red Notice he was in last year I really enjoyed. Not as good on RT.

Question about RT. Is the total score an aggregator of a binary score? In other words, they ask a fan what they thought on a scale of 0 to 10. If it's a 6 or better, it gets called a "like" and counted like a 1. Folks who call it a 5 or worse get a "dislike" and it's counted like a 0. Then, all of that is counted, and a final aggregate score of 92 means that 92/100 people "liked" the movie as in they thought it was a 6 or higher, not that it was a 9.2/10.

I am assuming that's how it works.
This is correct. Metacritic actually assigns a score to a review, though I'm not sure of their methodology. It isn't just like or dislike, but a more glowing review will get a higher score. Also, Metacritic's pool of critics is much smaller than Rotten Tomatoes. I think they only use critics from major publications.

that is my understanding.

92 RT score means 92% of people didn't think it sucked.
