Finally caught up on this since I saw that season 7 was the end and Damien Lewis would be returning.
The first few seasons were pretty good. There's really not anything memorable about the series, but it had been pretty much mindless entertainment. Until season 5.
Season 5 was split up due to the scamdemic and I lost all desire to watch it anyway for a long time. The creators brought in Corey Stoll, who is a great actor, but is a pretty terrible quasi foil for Axe.
Not sure why the story pivoted from an entertaining look at taking down a corrupt venture capitalist to a pissing match between two elites, but it was largely dumb. So dumb in fact, that the character with the pronouns was actually the most interesting development across the entire cast.
Then season 6 comes out and Chuck has this renewed crusade against the wealthy, but it is hard to get invested in the new cast and the ridiculous premise that is the backbone for the Chuck vs Mike Prince conflict.
Corey Stoll is above average but the nice guy persona is pretty bad.
Scooter is an interesting character, but his nephew is just a weird add-on that brings absolutely no value to the show.
Sacker changing sides is eye rolling. Same dead behind the eyes look, different hairstyle.
Sacker's replacement… the jury is still out on her.
Wags is not nearly as active but maybe it's time for less is more for that character.
The actress who plays Rian must be a relative of the creators or something. She is terrible. Everything about her screams nepotism or she is ok being groped to get a job.
