I have decided I wouldn't have blinked an eye at saying "absolutely, fk yes" to being an extra on that plane.

I think that medically clears of me of certain neurodivergencies, and maximizes my likelihood of others.

Man you're in for a treat if you have all of Nathan For You to watch. I'm jealous that you get to watch it for the first time.

These episodes are fascinating. Hilarious and cringy, and also - strangely heartwarming? Lots of feelings watching this season. I had a feeling Nathan was on the spectrum early NFY season - and him finding out about his nuanced audience cracked me up.

This guy does some amazing deadpan. Feels Larry David like - in the sense that this man is not playing a character, but this is who he is. HBO needs to continue throwing money at this man, because he produces some must watch TV

To be fair, he kept telling me to "get off"

This actually legitimately an achievement of the highest order

The whole loophole discussion with a government FAA official and then him flying at the end is so wild. I wish I had the sheer dedication that Nathan has to go for the bit

Wouldn't he just open up a Nate's Lizard Lounge on Northgate?

What a great season. Was dying at many times.

lol at the end. Nathan really did all of this to (try) to prove he doesn't have autism.

Can't wait for more. This season absolutely crushed S1.

It feels like S1 had a different plot until they found the crazy chick and they changed the entire season. This one was perfect

Just walked through the Houston airport and I saw at least 6 or 7 pairs of pilots joking around, buddy buddy and all walking together. Not 1 pilot by themselves.

I think this is going to be a thing now going forward.

For me, Season 2 is in the running for best HBO TV show of all time.

He deserves an Emmy at a minimum for this season. Everything about this show is phenomenal.

I binged all of S1 and S2 the last couple days after seeing the twitter/texags hype.

S2 was legit. IMO less fake "real" people than S1.

S1 really bothered me with how awful the "real" characters acted. The crazy lady was obviously an actor with scripted lines. Her dialogue was lazy writing from typical hollywood types. The Mel Gibson line was so predictable. How people think " omg, how does fielder find these freaks..." is beyond me. The only genuine real person IMO was 3 yr old Remy. Even his mother seemed fake to me.

S2 was completely different. Only 2 "real" characters I thought were fake. The starbucks gf of the pilot in ep 1 and the " I've been kicked off every dating app" pilot. That dude was obviously an actor, and a bad one.

Regardless, the final 4 eps of S2 are amazing. The dedication to the project from Fielder hits every emotion. That last ep is one of the most satisfying things I've ever watched. I loved The Curse, I guess I'll watch NFY.

Managed to show some restraint and stretched the full run of Nathan For You out into 4 days.

I regret nothing about the Curse/Rehearsal/NFY order. I'd probably have bailed on NFY after about 3 episodes without the others, just because it's so much less polished/cheaper looking than the premium shows, and I've just have kept working the backlog I have on those instead. And I've had missed some gems in NFY by bailing.

He's definitely really stepped up his game by S2 of the Rehearsal (budget never hurts)-NFY was obviously totally scripted, but trying to pretend it wasn't. The Rehearsal leans into the "I hired some *actors*" that feels less forced.

No one is allowed in the cockpit if there's something wrong with them...so if you're here...you must be fine

I'm a little behind. I laughed out loud pretty hard when the contestant winner started singing Sully's Evanescence song. My wife came in to see what was so funny. I realized it would take me an hour to explain to her why that was funny, which made the whole thing even funnier.

Vulture got the Evanescence singer.
Quote:

Did you watch the episode?
I sure did.

What's going through your head?
Oh man, it's going to take me more than ten minutes to answer that. The show is so brilliant. I started watching at the beginning of season two because of our placement, and I'm obsessed with it now. So now I've gone back and started watching season one. It's just so thought-provoking and a completely unique format for a show in general, even setting aside how fascinating the subject matter has been so far. I just find it really difficult to describe, too. I remember that when they asked us about licensing the song, I was struggling to understand the concept.

How did HBO describe The Rehearsal to you?
Let me pull it up. So this was last fall: "HBO's meta docu-comedy" which, already, I'm like, Okay … "The Rehearsal is on its second season, and it features an exploration of the life of the 'Miracle on the Hudson' pilot, Sully Sullenberger, based on his memoir, Highest Duty. Sullenberger is a fan of the band, and the creative team is interested in using 'Bring Me to Life' in re-creations of the moments leading up to the fateful flight in episode 203 … 'Bring Me to Life' is used as Sully listens to the song on his iPod in his hotel room and then continues as he jogs down a path …" I didn't even understand that it was Nathan who was going to be running down the path in the episode. I thought it was going to be an actor. "… After an interruption, Sully is once again listening to the song on his iPod." That's it.

And that was an easy "yes" for you?
Literally, my response was "Sounds really weird and fun. Thanks!"

The whole reenactment of young Sully life was one of the funniest - and most bizarre- things I've seen in years.

Where is sully? Has he been interviewed? (I hope he's not dead sorry if I'm wrong) surely Nathan tried to interview him. Did he breast feed or bottle feed? Did he also ask the co-pilot to leave before rubbing one out in the cock pit?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Nathan of course told Jack Black, of all people, that he tried, but Sully wasn't having it.

This will definitely be an episode of season 3 of The Rehearsal.

Chiming in...binged both seasons in a days span and loved it. The season finale of season 2 was nerve-racking but so satisfying to watch at the same time if that makes sense. Also as others had said, thought season 2 was far superior than season 1
