I mean they shouldn't be messing with perfection in the first place but then to cast that goofy SOB as Dalton (presumably) is sacrilege.
I hope Swayze uses all his paranormal powers as depicted in the documentary "Ghost" and curses this production.

This was supposed to happen with Ronda Rousey like 4-5 years ago.
Maybe this time it will actually be good.

My angry face is in reference to the idea of them remaking this movie, the idea of casting Gyllynhall, AND Bruce's comment about the original!

Gyllenhall has been GREAT in numerous movies in recent years, but this is weird casting to me.

Swayze was a professional dancer, danced for Disney I think, who had been in Dirty Dancing. Other than being ripped and able to move, probably a bit of a surprise to cast him as a bouncer who rips a guy's throat out - at the time.
Maybe Swayze passed to torch to Gyllenhaal on the Donne Darko shoot.

Why reimagine this when you could make the Top Gun: Maverick version. Dalton is old now, out of the bouncer game and gets dragged back in.

Who will play Brad Wesley? Ben Gazzara was such an odd casting choice the first time but he is now legend.
Or will there be a new "Brad Wesley," the proverbial Scooby-Do evil real eatate developer?

I refuse to support this. I'm not sure why they continue to try and remake cult classics. Especially ones that are cheesy. That's what made them classics in the first place.
We better get a 'who da fook is dat guy' from McGregor.
Odd choice? Ben Gazzara was PERFECT for that role. It was brilliant casting. An incredible actor. A legendary classic Hollywood personality/party guy/drunk. And had been out of the limelight in Hollywood for just long enough that when he showed up in Roadhouse, everyone just kinda said "whoa!".Emotional Support Cobra said:

Oh, no doubt he was amazing and was perfect, just not who necessarily would be typecast in that role IMO. He killed it and stole every scene.
I figured Macgregor would play the Jimmy Reno character not Wade.
