Saw this tonight, thought it was alright. 7/10. The reviews pretty much have the right idea of it. It's a fun romp with zany characters and plenty of twists and complications. A kind of Snatch / Smokin' Aces sort of film. Great cast, good performances all around. Not the worst way to spend a Thursday night.

Going on Sunday with the wife. Really looking forward to this.

Saw an advanced screening with the wife on Tuesday. It was a blast! Movie has a lot of swagger. It knows what it is and it isn't concerned what anyone too critical thinks about it.

Saw it on Tuesday as well and both me and my wife thought it was great, very funny. Super fun movie.

Saw it today. Very entertaining and witty dialogue. Pitt has good comedic timing. Just a fun movie with a little bit of everything.

I thought that was pretty fun. Went on for too long, should have been 15 min shorter and dragged at the end, but a good story overall. Very violent and graphic, though, if that bothers you.

We walked out halfway through Bullet Train. Just an awful movie. It's not interesting, it's not funny, it's not entertaining and it's not original or innovative.

The thing that confuses me about this is what you were expecting to get. It's exactly the movie the trailers promised.

Walked out? Are you for real?
Out here in LaLa Land, tix are $18 to $25 a seat so nobody in my party is leaving early.

It wasn't the greatest movie ever but, it was entertaining and it had my boy Bad Bunny in it.
It would be a good fit for a long-haul airplane flick. Right before I start scrolling through the Bollywood options.

This may not affect your daily life or people in your neighbourhood but, my hat is off to them for getting this movie made during the Pandemic when nothing else was getting made.

Genuine question, you might have had different trailers before Bullet Train, but for my screening, it sure seemed like a disproportionate number of new movies feature an all-Black cast and/or had a Black lead character in an inter-racial relationship. Is this all that gets made these days?
  • Till
  • Wakanda Forever
  • The Woman King
  • Beast
  • The Invitation
  • Barbarian
  • Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.
Of all of those only Beast looked interesting. And even then, probably only because I've been on Safari in Kenya and feared exactly that.

Personally, I enjoyed the Tarantino level violence. Some of it was almost comical.

As somebody who has travelled to Japan a number of times and taken the Shinkansen "Bullet Train" many times, I enjoyed it. I thought they portrayed many things accurately. Was a little short on Hentai maybe.

I've never seen a 2-1 seating in the Green Car (First Class) but, I've also never taken the overnight one, just the business day salaryman train between Tokyo Station and Shin-Osaka. So maybe there's a car configuration out there that I haven't seen yet. The rest was great, right down to the lady selling snacks.

One kind of funny aside is that these guys were on the train to Kyoto which curiously enough is where Leonardo DiCaprio is headed in the movie "Inception".

Something they showed but you can't really feel it in the theatre is how scary it is when you pass another Bullet Train going in the opposite direction. The whole train shakes violently for about 5 seconds as you're doing 200 mph in one direction and another 12-16 car train is going 200 mph in the other direction.

This video kind of captures 1/2 of that equation.

Looks like they have a newer fancier car now for First Class. I guess I'll have to go back.

Didn't see all the trailers. Wakanda Forever is self explanatory, and I agree that Beast looks the most interesting as a pure creature feature. The Woman King is probably the best case study for this because if I were a producer, I'd absolutely try to finance this project…almost two decades ago. It's a pitch perfect premise and would've been a great answer to 300. But with the current cultural and political climate, there's more of a genuine concern that a certain message is going to take precedence over story and characters. That and the twirly spear stuff isn't fooling anyone into thinking this is more historically accurate than 300. Audience reviews will tell you if an emotional and universal story takes priority over the message.

I didn't have Barbarian or Honk for Jesus but did have the rest of the list in addition to Devotion.

It was weird.

Beast trailer features a dramatic scene where a man punches a lion in the face.

I laughed out loud.

I only got half of those, but even at that, it's a good counter to "Hollywood only makes superhero franchises and reboots!" A lot of non-franchise action in there.

We also had Smile or something, some creepy-ass horror movie. My wife screamed so loud that it got a reaction from half the theater.

Not a bad flick. About 15 minutes too long.

That had me curious, and the trailer looks like a lot of fun.

Was it the last scene of this trailer below? I've been watching movies and trailers too long, something about the cliche makes me smile (oops) - especially horror films, they just all seem the same at this point.

Just saw this tonight. Large auditorium and completely packed- on a Tuesday. I really enjoyed it. Now if you can't take ENORMOUS amounts of gore- this movie isn't for you! Haha is that a spoiler? I would think not. And if I have a nightmare about snakes tonight I'll know why. 100% recommend this movie. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the creativity of the overall plot- very "Crash" like. Just, ya know- violent and action packed.

Agree with most posters on here...agree it's a lot of fun and the chemistry between the "twins" is terrific. I really liked Tangerine's performance and didn't realize he was the lead in Kickass.

I agree with everyone else: fun movie, great cast, fast paced, entertaining, maybe 15 minutes too long. It was basically a different type of a Kill Bill movie.

It's amazing how a bullet train in Japan has all westerners and no Japanese, other than the ticket guy and beverage lady. And the ticket guy magically disappeared in the second half of the movie. Even the "ssh" woman was a white lady.
Overall I enjoyed it, b it it felt like it took one or two gags and stretched them out several hours. Cool cameos though.

Cliched characters saying cliched dialogue in a cliched plot. Sporadic moments of interest throughout an overall boring movie.

Yeah I made it thirty minutes on this. That plot line bored me, the incessant back and forth a between the twins, the Mexican wedding scene.

It felt like the worst "Guy Ritchie" movie ever.
