What is your definition of The Muppets universe? Characters from derived from The Muppet Show and the named Muppet movies, or any movie that contains Muppets from Henson's creature shop?

I've probably mentioned it here before, but Rainbow connection was written by Paul Willams. He was the guy who played Little Enos in Smokey and the Bandit, he also wrote hits for the carpenters, three dog night, and wrote the love boat theme.
So that's an odd mix of credits.

Paul Williams was a guest star on Love Boat a number of times. He had a pretty good career kinda all over the place in the 70's.
Definitely my kids favorite when they were younger.
I can not even imagine how hard those people, that made the shows and movies, were laughing every time they were working on the Swedish chef scenes.

My favorite was way back when I was young and he tried to cook a lobster and the lobster ended up getting rescued by a little group of lobster bandits that pistols and mustaches!

My girls and I love this one. I actually parlayed it into getting them to listen to some actual classical music on occasion.
They also love the Muppet Bohemian Rhapsody of course

I sang one of my 23-weeker micro-preemies to sleep the very first night she was home way back in 2012 with Rainbow Connection and have done so on hundreds of occasions since. If I get through it and she's not down, I go with "I'm Going to Go Back There Some Day" as the second half of the lullabies.
