I'd say it had pieces of Texas Chainsaw but with some comedy. First half has a very unsettling vibe.

Man…I thought this was going to be a Conan remake / sequel.
So this isn't some straight up bloody horror movie I take it?
Fact that it seems to have some genuinely comedic moments is intriguing.

I am not sure I have felt as much dread watching this film nor laughed at as hard (audience was laugh out louding at points).
The trailer barely covers the first third of the movie.
Excellent dread, cinematography, sound and music design.
There is a ridiculousness to what is actually happening once it is revealed that I was a little stunned they went that direction but I quickly jived with it.

I had my hands over my ears basically the whole time going down the stairs. Major dread.
Saw it today. Fun flick and not what I was expecting from the preview. Go in blind and enjoy.
I'm not sure what the **** I watched last night but I enjoyed it. Don't watch trailers or read anything, just go see it.

Well that was something else. I feel like THAT was the movie this summer that should have been called NOPE.
This is the best movie I've seen in a while... I don't even think I had seen a trailer but just kept hearing great things and I'm really glad I went in blind. The shift halfway through was really cool and caught me completely offguard.
Awesome, awesome movie. Very excited to see Cregger's next project... Can't believe this was from the Whitest Kids You Know guy.

They talked about this one on The Big Picture podcast, which I'm a regular listener of. They go through the entire plot and this sounds like it's up my alley but it takes real specific horror for me to get into. The premise sounds really great, I'll probably rent it when it comes out. Don't listen to that podcast if you don't want the movie ruined. But the hosts that saw it were both big fans of it.

Don't think I've enjoyed a horror movie that much since Get Out. I wish I could have this experience more often, going in absolutely blind and even the trailers haven't given anything away.

Seriously, props to the marketing for the complete swerve on what you think the movie will be.

I saw it opening night and there were like 3 screenings that night. It is on like 3X the screens now. It got great word of mouth that first weekend.
I've been doing my part. I tried to convince everyone I came across today at work lol.
Saw it this evening. Crazy movie. Enjoyed it.
Went in blind but really liked it.

I disagree, the title is perfect. I'd explain why but I don't want to give spoilers. Please, don't click the link above. It does the movie a disservice and thereby it does you a disservice as well.

This movie dropped on HBO Max today. It is awesome. I didn't know much about it but enjoyed it, as did my wife

Best guess I can make is the basement, and then tunnels down to lower levels represented AJ's subconscious? Meaning, deep within his mind lived an abuser of women--given that we learn he really kinda raped the actress, on top of which there was a normal, outward appearance that nobody would've suspected.

Pretty sure you might be reading WAY too much into what was just a fun, weird, crazy ass movie.
