I've been a Kevin Smith supporter for many years. I first watched clerks on VHS in 1995 and was blown away.

I loved Mall Rats, Dogma, Chasin Amy, Jay and Silent Bob. strike back.

His movies haven't been great but I did enjoy Clerks 2 and Jay and Silent Bob reboot.

I ended up going to the limited release showing tonight.

Holy ****, this is by far the best Kevin Smith film. By a mile.

Nostalgia. Laughter. Tears.
Pearl Jam.

I almost now want to go to the road show so I can give that man a standing ovation.

If you liked Clerks, it doesn't matter how you feel about anything in between. Watch this movie.

As a 50 year old man, it's a film I didn't know I needed.

Fun fact, the sound track for Clerks cost more than the rest of the movie.

Fun fact. The sound effects added post production cost more than the original filming.

Uhhhh. Emmm. Okay. I was not sure ANYONE was asking for this movie, and I say that as a totally committed fan of these Kevin Smith tropes.

But, if the OP is legit honest, then I think I gotta see this.

I also always enjoyed Chasing Amy, and thought Jersey Girl was underrated.

100% honest. It's a good movie. If you liked Clerks, you'll like this movie.

I love Kevin Smith movies (most of them anyway) and I don't share OP's enthusiasm on Clerks 3. Clerks 2 and Mallrats are my favorite KS movies for reference. There are definitely great moments, mostly callbacks to the first movie, and some funny cameos but I wasn't crazy about the storyline. It's not a bad way to say goodbye to this part of the View Askewniverse I guess.

Might have to check this one out. My favorite Kevin smith movie hands down is J&SB strike back….but I really enjoyed clerks and that's probably my #2.

So if it's that good gonna have to find it streaming on something

I'm excited to see this but I hate the way he releases these things lately. I get why it's done but my country ass doesn't live anywhere close to be able to see it. It'll come out on streaming eventually but for now I'm an old man yelling at clouds.

NSFW but fantastic. The last minute or so is just Affleck and Damon unable to stop laughing.

Saw the first one shortly after it came out when I was 14. There were a few bootleg copies floating around school. Enjoyed the second one and am going to see this one Saturday.

It's literally not by choice. It's what he can get.

Watched it. First bit was bad but ending was amazing

Well, I'd like to watch it but that last Jay and Bob movie was abhorrent. Not the first Jay and SB but the most recent one.

Really wanted to watch this but I couldn't justify dishing out $15 to watch it since it wasn't covered as part of my AMC A-List. I'll catch it on streaming.

When I saw it in the theater I didn't care for the Reboot at all. When I watched it again some time later at home I enjoyed it more. Maybe the same will be the case for me with Clerks 3.

I watched it last night. I won't say it was bad because that's a subjective opinion, but I didn't like it.

1. I'm growing weary of the whole "meta" self aware stuff. It's tired and at this point I think it appeals to the lowest common denominator. Rick and Morty did it a few ago and it was pretty good, but this just screamed desperation.

2. Nostalgia. So much nostalgia these days. I used to laugh at the throwback junk that was thrust on baby boomers. I think most of gen x did too. Now gen X'ers are the new target. It's just depressing.

3. Kevin Smith has a few good ideas, but his game was played years ago. Clerks, Mall Rats and Strike Back were all pretty good. Chasing Amy was good at the time, but have you watched it today? It's so dated - not sure I've ever seen a movie that has become so dated.

4. The movie is depressing for all the reasons above, but the story line is as well.

Holy **** that is funny!

But I'm the guy who watches Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and can't stop laughing from minute 1 to 90.

Finally rented this on Amazon.

I had a Clerks poster on my dorm wall freshman year. Loved the first movies. Zach and Miri is when it started going down for me. Never saw the two horror movies. Yoga Hosers and the Last Jay and Silent Bob were cringe.

This one started off rough but ended strong with some definite tears. Being 44 it made me very reflective of the years in my life since Clerks and how fast time has moved. Brian and Jeff gave legitimately great performances in the second half. It just makes me wish the first have was up the level of the second.

Overall though his best since Clerks II for sure. I'll probably give it a rewatch once it pops on a streaming site.

Also I always root for Kevin. There are a lot of a-holes in the world but he isn't one of them. He has a huge heart and seems like a great guy. He really loves what he does and his fans, so I will always give what he does a chance because I want to support him.
