Question 1: Why isn't there an option to hide specific content from being displayed on services like Netflix? I have no interest in watching w t ondian matchmaker etc. but my dashboard is constantly cluttered with these types of titles.

Question 2:
Why is TV/streaming so far behind the internet on allowing targeted ads?
The last thing I want is another device in my house surveilling me and mine but a close second is the barrage of junk pharma ads that have no relevance whatsoever. (I'm looking at you Biktarvy for prep and all the other HIV asz blast meds)

I would happily fill out an interest profile in order to be served ads that I deem more appropriate.

If im missing something obvious in settings please educate me. TIA

But that is definitely the next step in digital ads is local and personalized ads inserted into streaming and podcasts. People are probably working very hard on it.

They are and it's a hell of a lot more difficult than you think for a lot of reasons. The biggest reason is that as of now any given ad that runs on any given stream is probably worth something like $0.0000001 cents and because that's all it is, nobody gives a shht to make it more complicated. As long as the given buyer gets what they asked for (in CPM/CPP terms) then nobody cares what you the viewer is seeing...which is why you see a lot of the same ads literally every break on streaming.

Geotargeting etc is still very much in the infancy stages.
