I know Chevy Chase was an ass to work with, but he really made the show work. He was great. It would be disappointing if he didn't make it in the movie in some capacity

I'm more referring to his character's status and how that would make it difficult to bring him back. I guess they could do a flashback but that seems extremely unlikely based on his exit and comments after.

I expected Glover to be either too cool for school or too busy, but I thought shirley (pun intended) Brown would be back. What could possibly be keeping her from doing this? She's still a working actor, and has even been tweeting about it all morning, in a positive/excited manner.

Either way, I'm excited. Just hoping its more in line with seasons 1-3 as opposed to 4-6 (though, on a relatively recent rewatch, there were definitely some gems in the latter seasons).

Alison Brie said in an interview recently that she didn't know if Donald would return but that she would be happy even with just a Zoom-style cameo or whatever he can do, given how busy he is with Atlanta. And Yvette Nicole Brown is also busy these days, so who knows. I would imagine she'll have some involvement if she's talking about it on social media, though.

I think Chevy's recent health issues would be another barrier to him returning in any capacity. He was hospitalized for five weeks with heart issues and may not be fit to work.

Yeah, he finished filming Atlanta. But he's about to start shooting the Mr. And Mrs. Smith reboot series for Amazon, which he's not only starring in, but writing and producing as well. So that's bound to keep him occupied for the next year or so, then I'm sure he has plenty of other projects in development as well. Dude is crazy busy.

I always wanted to see them do a movie where Troy got lost on his sailing adventure and the rest of them went to find him. It's been a little long since he left for that to work though.
