Thundarr was Allsome!
Also loved Herculoids!
Race Bannon was great because his name was Race Bannon. Pretty sure Haji was my first exposure to anyone portrayed to be from India or Pakistan.

The Sleestak scared the crud out of little kids. But the final episode of the series made it all worth it.

The book "The Nineties" by Chuck Klosterman has a section where he goes into the rise and fall of Saturday morning cartoons. Good stuff and a fairly entertaining read.

We had Sunday school on Saturday so our old man would set the VCR to record the awesomeness:

HULK! HULK!....

A few others I enjoyed:

Pirates of dark water
Galaxy Rangers
Dungeons and Dragons
Captain N
Land of the Lost

No this was catholic school. Don't remember the reasoning at the time they switched to Saturday but don't remember that schedule lasting.

It was syndicated on the USA Network. At least that's the only place I saw it while growing up in B/CS. Always saw it on Saturday/Sunday mornings.

He had a lightsaber with a magnetic hilt that attached to his wrist guards or whatever they were.

It was epic!

And now I'm remembering another short run series that I loved: Dino-Riders. I certainly had a type.

The only good thing about summer ending back in the day was the commercials for the new cartoons being released in September.

Loved Scooby Doo, Hong Kong Phooey, Top Cat, Underdog, Jonny Quest, Wacky Races, The Archie Show, etc. We watched 'em all while sitting too close to the TV set.

But the real winners were the live action shows like the Banana Splits and all of the weird ones produced by Sid and Marty Krofft, like this one:

Sigmund and the Sea Monsters was weird.

Capt. Kool and the Gang

Dr. Shrinker (I can still sing the theme song)

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl

this looks like some quality tv right here!
