My family did cross country road trips where the soundtrack to Coal Miner's Daughter was a staple. Been a fan my whole life, though I must admit I often prefer the Sissy Spacek movie versions to Lynn's original recordings.

I've seen Crystal Gayle twice. she puts on a wonderful show and absolutely shows how much she enjoys entertaining. She has another sister who comes on stage and does some of Loretta's songs. She is the spittin image of Loretta and sings just like her.

Saw this posted yesterday ... I had completely forgotten that Loretta was featured in a series of commercials for Crisco back in the '80s, where she would deliver the line "Crisco'll do you proud every time."
