Family plans to be in Vegas for Thanksgiving day, thinking of doing a buffet for dinner. Figure we'll be hitting normal restaurant destinations for other meals, it would be an easy way to get turkey and normal fixings, and they probably have some nice setups for the holiday.

Thoughts on the best out there these days? Caesars still ranked high? We're staying at Bellagio, whose buffet seems to get described as pretty average considering the resort quality. Heard good things about the Wynn and Cosmo but not sure they're worth the trek.

My opinion :

1: Wynn (easily the best imo)
2: Caesars

I have not done the Cosmo one

Food quality just better all-around?

Is Caesars #2 vs Bellagio (or anything else center-strip) if proximity wins out with the family?

Thanks!

Op: I heard lotsa good buffets are no longer doing lunch/brunch. Especially on weekdays. Please report back if true or not

Caesar's Bacchanal buffet does brunch on the weekdays. We were just there last month and did that on a Friday. I haven't had the one at Wynn but I've heard it's up there.

I miss the Million Dollar Brunch they had a Bally's. It was expensive but they offered Champagne, lobster and caviar along with other brunch fare as an all you can eat/drink. It was the ultimate in gluttony.

Just a note, during peak periods, you need to make reservations for most of the good buffets at least a week in advance.

Yes and this. Most or all of these buffets and restaurants will be on OpenTable.

Eating can be entertainment in Vegas.

One year my wife and I instead of going to shows, spent that money at the best restaurants in town. I assure you it was very entertaining. Not to mention an additional 10 lbs.

Dropped $110/head at a buffet in Dubai some years ago and it didn't even come close to touching the Wynn Buffet (which last time I was there was like $60ish?)

Vegas has some pretty damn awesome food, restaurants, and buffets.

OP, my wife and I did a buffet tour last Thanksgiving. This is your answer:

1. Bacchanal at Caesar's, and there isn't a close 2nd
2. Wicked Spoon at Cosmo
3. Wynn

None of the others are worth the time, calories, or money

This. No way I'd get my money's worth out of my wife and kids at a Vegas buffet these days. Rather spend the money on a nicer restraint.

TCTTS provided Yelp reviews of the buffet at Caesar's, but ultimately, it didn't live up to expectations. Debt went to the Bellagio and complained that his white male server was replaced by a black female trans. aTmAg complained that the taco meat at Wynn wasn't real enough. Spilner saw a Paul Walker look-alike at Comso and cried. Porkchop ate at Star Wars night at the Circus Circus can proclaimed that it was the greatest meal he ever had. Tanya took Benny to all you can eat bacon night at Luxor and was horrified that it was also bring a prostitute night, and eat 50% off.

Hit up Cookies on the Strip and buy some nice, special gummies. An hour or so later you can absolutely destroy a Vegas buffet. Don't have to be a LOLfat to do that.

One of my sons worked at several Vegas resort casinos before becoming a PO. The last place he worked at was Wynn's and, as an employee, daily enjoyed their employee buffet culled from the same line as the paying customers. He assured me, hands down, Wynn is the best buffet in town.

Not anymore. Bachannal has the better spread, and better quality.

Wynn and Wicked Spoon are close, but I'd give the edge to Wicked Spoon.
