Child of the 70's & 80's here. Yep, those names ('Rankin and Bass') were like 'peanut butter & jelly' or 'Lewis & Clark'.
Created some amazing iconic stories and images. RIP.

Loved all of his stuff but especially The Hobbit which I saw on TV as a kid in the 70's and it was my first exposure to anything Tolkien and I still love watching it.
