Read Band of Brothers and a couple other of his books because of the HBO series.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy movie led me to consuming most of that series.

Bourne series as well; which I think would have made a better Bourne Identity if they would have actually used the source as written.

Fight Club

The Razor's Edge movie version with Murray. I had read Of Human Bondage in high school and enjoyed it; but Razor's Edge movie/book are just phenomenal and I found them post graduation when I was looking for direction and guidance.

I would still like to read Jaws, The Graduate, and the Godfather.

Jackie Brown led me to Rum Punch.

Man, I would love to see a faithful adaption of Prydian as either a series or set of films. But, I feel like it would end up being CW'd hard.

Puzo and Coppolas real vision was like 4+ hrs and Paramount wanted it cut down to like 2 and ended up with 3. The scene/story that was cut out that really surprised me was the Corleones visiting Genco on his deathbed. I believe it takes place the night of the wedding after the festivities are over. Some very key dynamics Coppola chose not to include in theatrical release. First Vito cornering Michael and asking him what he plans to do w the rest of his life, and second Genco begging the Godfather to scare the Angel of Death away. The latter was an especially powerful scene. (You can see it on the Complete Godfather Epic).

As a youngster in the 70s, my first exposure to James Bond came on broadcast TV. I was hooked. My brother and I used to record the audio on a tape recorder so that we could "watch" them again and again. When Jove Books began reprinting the novels in the 1980, I started reading all of Ian Fleming's Bond novels and short stories.

Got me to reading books by John Grisham and Tom Clancy

-Jurassic Park led me to many Crichton books
-Harry Potter. Screened the 3rd one before it came out bc of my HS job working the projector at the movies. I didn't get it. 10 years later, decided to read each book and watch the movie one at a time. I definitely enjoyed it that way.
-The Da Vinci Code led me to all the Langdon books and more Dan Brown
-Similar to a previous poster, Saving Private Ryan got me interested in WWII non fiction.
-Just watched Devotion last night and plan to read the book now.

A Clockwork Orange. I read it, then saw the movie, then read it again.

Same. I had seen the cartoon Hobbit as a kid, but never read the book. Once Fellowship came out I plowed through all 4 books. Fast forward 20 years and my wife and I are currently listening to the Andy Serkis narrated audio books for LOTR (which are fantastic).

I had the Rob Inglis narrated versions already, but had to get the Andy Serkis ones when they came out. He does a phenomenal job.
