So the Wednesday thread reminded me of how great Raul Julia was as Gomez, and of course he was also M. Bison in Street Fighter.

That made me look at the Street Fighter IMDB, that movie was actually quite loaded with decent actors.

Didn't Raul Julia die during the filming?

"Raul Julia was dealing with terminal stomach cancer whilst filming the Street Fighter movie, and died shortly after. He's the best thing about the movie. He did interviews saying he took the role in spite of his health because his kids loved Street Fighter II."

I used to name my videogame characters Bisonopolis when possible.

Edit: but man that movie was disappointing even at age 6.

Raul Julia is so good in this crappy movie.
